The following mp3s are either complete works or clips of music that are for your personal listening pleasure. Here is a small glimpse of a wide spectrum of music styles that I enjoy writing. Let me know what you think. There is a Requests page link found near the bottom of the site menu bar. I welcome your feedback and am very open to site and style suggestions.
indicates that the style example was produced exclusively with the Roland Fantom X8 keyboard.

This was just a fun style to write. The idea for this song came from a computer game entitled "No One Lives Forever 2". I disagree with the game's title. "Everyone Lives Forever".

This was a request from a friend and an interesting study in how to manipulate a very simple chord progression. I like the "tight" piano solo, simply reversed toward the end of the piece.
Commercial Classical

I hear this piece as a "car commercial". Maybe robotic arms putting the vehicle together piece by
piece..........maybe not.

This is my personal favorite! (A work in progress.) I love the form of this composition. The story behind this one......My wife and I had tickets to see a Christmas concert that we had been looking forward to for months. The night of the concert, I end up battling a cold. My wife took a good friend and I stayed home feeling sorry for myself. The opening line, played by an english horn, is the first thing I came up with when I sat done at the keyboard. Listen for the echoes in the middle section. I love this piece.
Metal
The SVQ file has a change in the percussion patch to facilitate global compatability.
Not bad guitar from a keyboard player. The group "Van Halen" greatly influenced my solo guitar work.
Alternative Rock
I am quite happy with the "wide" guitar sound in this piece. You can watch me play this one on 'YouYube'!
A little improv from Russia on a 'REAL' guitar!
Medieval Rock
This started as a 5 chord study for my students. A big "Thank-you" to Yvette and Jordon for their inspiration!
Contemporary

Short and sweet. I still haven't figured out why I gave it this title!?!

A little "Funky"! I see plaid and stripes.......really happy with the ending.
Techno
Not "Walk Like An Egyptian". Listen for the mummy at the very end.
Electronica

Fun with filter, pitch, and panning sweeps, hence, the name.

This is an example of how "real" a piece can sound when vocal clips are added in appropriate places within the music. If you would also like to hear some realistic trumpet work done on a keyboard, you may want to check this demo out.

I love sitar, don't you? By the way, 'Ramani' means 'Beautiful Woman'
Children's Song
(Original Composer and Copyright Unknown)
This is a 'quick' 15 minute arrangement of a popular children's song I did for one of my students. Hope
that you enjoy it!
Hard Rock

Disclaimer - One of my students named this one!
Christmas
This is the background music to my Christmas village video.
I think it sounds a little 'Disney-ish' myself! Watch it on 'YouTube'!

With 40 minutes to kill, this is what I imagine it to sound like if "Bond . . . James Bond" were to meet
The Three Kings of the Orient !

Arrrrgh, ye scallywags! This is a project that I am currently working on and is dedicated to my amazing
brother Myles.
It will be a while before it is completed, but I offer you a taste. Hope that you enjoy it!
